How often should hair be washed?
A few years ago it was thought that to have a healthy scalp it was advisable to wash the hair every 7-15 days to avoid excessive sebum secretion, responsible for an unpleasant and weighed down appearance of the hair.
That is, it was thought that frequent cleansing increased the production of sebum. FALSE!
The frequency with which the hair is washed does not affect the production of sebum.
The number of washes per week strictly depends on the type of hair: for example, at least one wash a week is recommended for dry or normal hair, while for oily hair even two or three.
Furthermore, it is always advisable to choose the most suitable shampoo for the characteristics of the scalp and hair.
